ChristianaCare Wilmington Adult Medicine is looking for two Part-Time Medical Assistant.
ChristianaCare's Rocco A. Abessinio Family Wilmington Health Center is home to three primary care practices among other programs and services.
The ChristianaCare Wilmington Adult Medicine Center is our academic practice. This location includes physicians who are teachers, faculty members, making it possible for resident doctors to be part of your care team. Faculty participate in research and continually advance their knowledge as they mentor leading-edge and compassionate care teams who often continue working at ChristianaCare.
Primary Care services are supported and enhanced by the on-site pharmacy, diagnostic testing, social services and patient wellness and educational programs.
You would be joining a fantastic care team that includes attending physicians, physician residents, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, medical assistant, and office assistants. Wilmington Adult Medicine sees an average of 250+ patients, per day.
Work Schedule:
- Tuesdays from 11am to 8pm
- Wednesdays from 8am to 5pm
- Saturdays from 8am to 12pm
Duties / Responsibilities:
As a medical assistant you will be involved with greeting and supporting patients both virtually and on-site within the practice, preparing them for virtual visits, performing point of care testing, injections, medication administration, and EKGs, assisting clinicians with examinations and procedures, preparing exam/treatment rooms with necessary supplies and equipment, completing patient-specific paperwork, ensuring EMR is up-to-date, handling patient call backs, sterilizing medical equipment, handling prior authorizations, referrals, and medical refills, scheduling tests, procedures, and surgeries, performing quality control on POCT equipment, providing documentation assistance, performing clerical duties, troubleshooting patient issues with video visits, and supporting patients in joining ChristianaCare's Patient Portal.

Education Requirements:
- High School Graduate or GED required.
- A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
